This study was performed between 20 September 1993 and 21 December 1994 on the behaviour, habits and kwonlegde regarding health of student from two different high school namely "Health Profession High School and Behice Yazgan Girl High School" last year students in both school (200+168=368 student) were employed. Totaly fourtyseven question related with subjects on feeding, personal hiygenite, mother health, family planning, bad habits, infection diseases and immunity were forwarded to each students and heigth and weigth of each student were recorded to the questionnaire. The data optained was evaluateded by means of computure program and statistical analysis of the data were made by Chi-Square test. Statistical analysis show that breakfast habits of B.Y.K.L. students (48%) is slightly higher than S.M.L. students, but the ratio of irregular meal- time habits of S.M.L. students (25.5%) is lower than B.Y.K.L. students (46.4%). Teeth brushing habits of the S.M.L. students (91.5%) is higher than B.Y.K.L. students (81.5%) and hand washing habits before and after meal and before and after toilette need percentage at B.Y.K.L. students were found to be higher than S.M.L. students. The percentage of the students takening both two or more times week at B.Y.K.L. students (79.2%) is higher than that of S.M.L. students. The ratio of students cleaning their genital region from forward to the 75 back side direction was found to be higher at S.M.L. students (97%) than B.Y.K.L students (41.1%). The percentage of applying to a gynecologist related with menstrual problems is higher at B.Y.K.L. students (75.9%) than S.M.L. student (62%) but it was also observed that S.M.L. students partly solved their problems in the clinical application by help of nurses and midwives. The percentage of using healthy ped in the menstrual cycle at S.M.L. students (78%) is higher than B.Y.K.L. studnets (54.8%). Smoking habits S.M.L. students (5.5%) is lower than that of BYKL students (15.5%). The percentage of learning sexual knowledge from the book at SML students(65.0%) was found to be higher than that of BYKL students (33.3%) the ratio of the students knowing family planning methods at SML students is higher than that of BYKL students. The percentage of students thinking that ideal age for the first pragnancy below 19 between 30 is lower at BYKL students (3.0%) than at SML students (1 1.3%). The percentage of the students planning to help to 3 or more children in future is higher at SML students (27.0%) because of rural origin than at BYKL students(14.3%). The ratio of the students knowing protection metods againts infections disaeses is higher at SML students than that BYKL students. The ratio of the students knowing immunization during childhood is higher at SML students than at BYKL students. The percentage of the students applying to a medical doctor when they are ill is higher at SML students (88.0%) than at BYKL students (72.2%). From this result one can conclude that the health education given to the students to increase their knowledge and to use in practical life was determined to be effective. It was also anderstood that BYKL students have less knowledge about health subjects with respect to SML students to make up this deficiency in education general high schools (out of heath high schools) number of weekly health courses should be increas and these courses should be given by eligible stuff.
