The main aim of this researoh is to study the impact of the socio-economic variables on the success of the students» The field study on which this thesis is based covers three high schools 164 students among the total of 186 finalists of these three high schools were interviewed on the basis of questionnaire to collect the data for this research» The main assumptions held all through the study are as follows x - 'School is one of the basic institution of the social structure fallowing the institution of.family1 and followed by the institution of the »work1 so far as the life pattern of individual is concerned. - And success of a student in the school depends on the quality of the school as much as it depends on the traits student brings with him or her from out of the institution of school. Here the mark, students get İn the university eseams ( Ö.S.S. ) and the type of faculty or higher instution they get in are considered as the criteria of their success. In corffespandence with the main as sumpti ons, the hypothesis of this researoh can be : formulated t %244 Besides quality of the school students go, those variables such as 'income level,» occupation of father1, »She level of education of father',urban or rural origin',' geographic origin', 'type of family» and »the pattern of internal family relations' might' play considerable influence on the success of the students. In short, some important of this research and the degree of varifioation of the hypothesis are as follows : - A meaningful correlation was found in between the success of the students and the variable of '. 'family income» especially at higher levels. Those students with higher family income seem to D more "successfull in comparison with the others. However, those students with lower family income geem to be less successfull in comparison with the others. In general, the success of the students appears to be increasing in correspandenoe with the level of father's aducation (with some minor exception). Related with this variable of education, father» soccupation seems to be influencial on the success of the students. - The data partly verifies the expeotitations of research on urban/rural» and »geographic origins." - Ho correlation was found in between the success the students and type of the family they have.
