Youth, as the most dynamic part of a society and the part that is quickly affected by the changes, has a culture peculiar to it. Youth culture with its socio-economic and cultural properties may be considered as a subculture within the dominant culture of a society. Moreover, the presence of various youth groups with various properties gives rise to the existence of various youth subcultures. In this research the juveniles, who work as apprentices and qualified workers this were accepted as a subculture. Their family structures, socio-economic and cultural properties, their accepted values, norms, ideas, conduct, jargon, way of appareling, leisure time activities, problems concerning their jobs and lives, their goals and expectations were examined. As a consequence of rapid industrialization and urbanization, the youth population between the ages of 13 and 25, especially in the cities, start to work as apprentices and qualified workers. The aforesaid fraction constitutes approximately the 20 percent of our youth population. As youth is the major factor determining the posterity and change within the society, the necessity of a detailed research of juvenile apprentices and qualified workers who have a substantial importance in our youth population becomes manifest. The aim of this work is not only descriptive, but also to the elucidate the social control imposed on youth in their families, work place and freindship groups. Also the factors which caused deviant behavior were determined. Functionalist approach, and subcultural theories were used for analyze the world of working juveniles. Since the eminence of youth within the society is cosequential, it is essential to manifest the various properties of subculture of young apprentices and skilled workers and to define their expectations and goals if we hope to reach a more unified and sound level of socio-cultural structure.
