This study was conducted to determine the relationship between interpersonal conflict and life satisfaction. In this respect, study participants', main reasons and frequencies of the conflicts they experience with their parents and friends in daily life, negative effects of the interpersonal conflicts experienced, as well as the relationship between interpersonal conflicts and life satisfaction were researched. To that end, survey method was applied on 409 students studying at Erciyes University. Students frequently experiencing interpersonal conflicts with their parents and friends due to various reasons in daily life are affected negatively by the occurring conflict situations. Life satisfaction levels of the students have an average value. In other words, there is a prevalent thought that they are dissatisfied with the life they have, but this life is not the one which they exactly wanted to have. In the study, it was found that interpersonal conflicts were associated with life satisfaction. Direction of the relationship is negative. In other words, life satisfaction levels drop as frequencies of the conflicts experiences and negative effects of the conflict increase. When all the findings obtained were evaluated, it was concluded that the interpersonal conflicts had negative effects in general, and had a negative relationship with life satisfaction.
