Drawing on a sample of 726 non-clinical adolescents (aged 17-18 years) from high school in Ankara, Turkey, this paper primarily aims to identify the risk factors related to situational run away behavior. Run away behavior is one of the problematic behaviors very commonly seen among Turkish adolescents. Regression analyses revealed that predictors for runaway behovior differed due to gender, while, delinquency, sexual intercourse, substance use, parental separation and suicidal ideation were significant predictors for girl adolescent runaway behoviors, while lack of parental support and depression were the significant predictors for boy adolescent runaway behavior.
