this research study, firstly, the high school students who have abroad experience are compared with those who don't have abroad experience in this resped; perception of their parents' attitudes, self-concepts, locus of controls and their, some variables related to the migration period which effects, locus of controls, of the high school students who have had abroad experience are examined. Firstly, the student who have abroad experience and those who don't have abroad experience are compared with each other in perception of their parents' attitudes, self-concept, locus of controls related to these psycho-social variables; a. sex, b. age, c. educational level of mother, d. educational level of father, e. family income level, f. family social level. Then in the study these variables related to the migration period which effects the students", who have come from abroad, perception of their parents' attitudes, their self-concepts, locus of controls, are examined, a. the age when he/she went abroad, b. time spent abroad, c. whether attended to a kinder garten abroad or not, d. the years spent at school abroad, e. the living area of family before going abroad, f. the frequency of visiting Turkey when he/she lived abroad, g. the year returned to Turkey from abroad, h. the age when he/ she returned to Turkey from abroad, i. the ability to use Turkish Language, j. the time spent at school in Turkey after returning, k. whether he/she would like to go back abroad or not. The sampling of the research includes students of the 1993-1994 acade mic year at integrated Anatolian High Schools of Ankara Citiy Center, 110 stu dents' having abroad experience, and 128 student don't have abroad expe rience totally 228 students. The information of the research are supplied from the students by the "Parents' Attitude Invertory", "Self-Concept Inventory", "Locus of Controls Scale" and in addition the information about the students' ppoperties are supp lied by the "Personal Student Information Form". For the stasitcal analizes of the research datas; "Double Sided Variance Analize", "One Sided Variance Analize" techniques, and "t-test" have been used. The research datas can be summarized like this. When we compare the students who have abroad experience with the students who don't have abroad experience, in, respect of the perception of their parents' attitudes self-concepts, locus of controls related to the exampled psycho-social variables, it's seen that parents' attitudes are perceived to be more authoritarian and more uninterasted by their children who have abroad experience. In perception of the democratic attitude, there's no difference bet ween two kinds of students. Also it's seen that students who don't have abroad experience are having more positive self-concepts. It we examine external locus of controls we see that the students who have abroad experience are having more internal locus of controls. When we compare the students having abroad experience with each other it's seen that there's no difference between them in perception of their parents' attitudes, self-concepts and locus of controls.
